Correction Policy
Submitting a Correction
If you notice a possible error in a TIDEZINE article—whether it's a fact, name, date, number, quote, photo caption, or link—please reach out through our Contact Us page with the article's URL, a description of the issue, and any supporting information we can use to verify it.
How We Handle It
Our editorial team will re-check the original sources and, if needed, reach out to relevant parties. Once an error is confirmed, we'll fix it as soon as possible. When the mistake touches on a core fact of the article or could affect how readers understand it, we'll add a clear correction note. We won't simply republish an old article just to bump the date.
Updates vs. Retractions
Minor supplementary additions will be labeled as updates. We'll only consider retracting a piece if the content is fundamentally inaccurate, involves a serious rights violation, or can no longer be made accurate through a partial correction—and in those cases, we'll include a clear public explanation.
Our Approach to Responses
We take specific, verifiable correction requests seriously. A difference of opinion doesn't necessarily mean there's a factual error, but our editorial team will review the evidence fairly and give it due consideration.
