Meta pays $17.1 billion to combat youth internet addiction, Instagram and Facebook will set curfews and time limits

The lawsuit brought against Meta by 29 states including California ended with a settlement of US$17.1 billion. Facebook and Instagram will implement new rules for underage users such as daily time limits, midnight disconnection and muting during school hours.
