Suno Loses in Munich: AI-Generated Music Just Got Its First Real Copyright Bill

German music rights body GEMA sued Suno for training its AI model on copyrighted songs without authorization. The Munich Regional Court ruled in GEMA's favor, ordering Suno to pay damages — and now other AI companies will have to start paying for licenses too.
