TechHackers Hijack Water Plant Controls, Lock Out Operators — Flooding and Pressure Drops Hit Seven US States
The FBI and EPA have issued a rare joint warning: hackers targeting water treatment PLC controllers are changing IP addresses and passwords to lock operators out of their own systems. Facilities across seven states have already reported flooding and sudden pressure drops, with the attack pattern pointing toward Iran-linked actors.
