Long known for holding down the Three Stripes camp, Brain Dead is now venturing into completely different terrain—Crocs. Marking the brand's first-ever collaboration with Crocs, the two silhouettes chosen are the Echo II Clog and Trailbreak 2, which actually made their debut earlier this year at Paris Fashion Week. Now finalized for release, these versions come with an even more refined execution than what was shown back then.
The Echo II is fully immersed in a swirling pattern of black and purple, resembling ink bleeding across the surface of water. The real standout, though, is hidden in the Jibbitz: a lime green snail charm with its shell shaped directly into Brain Dead's signature head logo—easily the strangest and most eye-catching detail of the entire collab. Down below, the Trailbreak 2's midsole is finished with a marbled print blending black and light tones, visually echoing the cross-section of natural rock.
This nature-inspired direction is no accident. Speaking at the collection's debut during Paris Fashion Week this past February, Brain Dead founder Kyle Ng explained: "The inspiration comes from the natural environment around me, almost like a painting—moonlight reflecting on water, cool landscapes, damp rocks, snails, and all kinds of organic textures. We wanted the shoe to feel familiar, yet carry a natural, organic shape."
