Black is the one thing that hasn't changed on this shoe. After Carnan and ASICS laid the groundwork with their first "Path" collaboration in 2024, the two are letting color do the talking this time around—purple blankets the upper, green accents punctuate throughout, and the black outsole remains untouched.

This is the Carnan x ASICS GEL-CUMULUS 16 "Path II," the second collaborative project between Brazilian brand Carnan and ASICS. The shoe carries forward the black base and outsole design from the original "Path," which officially represents stability; the upper's main color shifts to a low-key, subdued deep purple, interpreted by the brands as the growth of their partnership while echoing Carnan's brand DNA. The green details are given meaning as "continuous transformation," while the insoles switch to a brown design, symbolizing the roots of the collaboration's original intent—without a starting point, there can be no evolution.

Officially, these layered colors tell a visual story of trust and creative resonance. The color logic is clear throughout, with black, purple, green, and brown each playing their own role without excessive decoration stealing the spotlight.

This project isn't limited to footwear. The accompanying apparel collection features carefully tailored pieces with embroidered details, with the brands framing the entire "Path II" project as a shared pursuit of a lasting relationship—a creative journey that's still ongoing.
