Samsung's approach this time isn't to roll out a separate crypto app, but to build USDC transfer functionality directly into Samsung Wallet, the app users are already using.

The South Korean tech giant says Galaxy users in the US market will be able to transfer USDC through Samsung Wallet, with transactions built on the Solana chain, along with built-in channels for fiat on-ramps and off-ramps. In other words, users won't need to install a dedicated crypto wallet app just to hold or transfer stablecoins—the whole process happens right within the phone's native wallet interface.

Folding crypto functionality into an existing fiat wallet app, rather than spinning off a separate new entry point, is the clearest takeaway from this announcement. As for the exact rollout timing, which specific device models will be supported, and which financial channels will handle the on-ramp and off-ramp, Samsung has not provided further details at this time.
