adidas BOSTON 13 Taipei Marathon edition: glowing stripes and neon city landmarks
White mesh meets coral, fluorescent yellow and aqua stripes, with Taipei lettering on the heels. Separate the city graphics from the shoe’s LIGHTSTRIKE PRO, fiberglass ENERGYRODS and outsole construction.
adidas launches limited-edition shoes and apparel for the 2026 Taipei Marathon, with ADIZERO BOSTON 13 as the protagonist, incorporating city cues such as night market neon, Dazhi Bridge and Grand Hotel into running equipment. What’s worth seeing this time is not just where Taipei is printed, but also how the commemorative image works with the original training shoe structure.

Glow-in-the-dark stripes connect day and night
The shoe body is made of white mesh as the base. The three stripes add pink orange, fluorescent yellow and aqua blue, and use a luminous effect to echo the city night. During the day, it can be seen from the color blocks and mesh layers. After the light changes, the details provide another way of identification.

Luminous, reflective and active lighting are different concepts. Just because there is a bright color on the shoes, it cannot be regarded as lighting equipment. The role of the image this time is to convert the visual memory of the night market sign into the language of the shoe, which still needs to be understood separately from the actual equipment arrangement of the runner.
Taipei and TAIPEI, from heels to insoles
"Taipei" and "TAIPEI" appear on the left and right heels respectively, and are equipped with Taipei Marathon exclusive logos. The insole has a dark blue background with neon lines, putting landmarks such as the Grand Hotel, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, and Dazhi Bridge into a small city scene under your feet.

The text on the outside of the shoes makes it easy for others to identify the theme, while the illustrations on the inside of the shoes are closer to the wearer's own view. The two positions have different functions, which also means that the commemorative design does not have to be concentrated on the upper, and urban clues can be dispersed in a smaller way.

Understanding BOSTON 13 as a training shoe
The BOSTON series takes speed training and tempo running as important directions. The 13th generation retains engineered mesh and ENERGYRODS 2.0, and uses LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam. Fiberglass conduits and entire carbon fiber plates are not the same structure and should not be summarized as carbon fiber shoes alone.
The limited color matching provides city identification, but will not replace the original use positioning of the shoe. If you want to put it into your training schedule, you should still compare the fit and pace feeling with the existing shoes, rather than assuming that it must be everyone's first choice on race day just because it has an event name.
LIGHTTRAXION and Continental rubber, see clearly the division of labor in the outsole
The outsole combines LIGHTTRAXION lightweight design with Continental rubber to handle weight and ground contact. The brand's technical description provides an entry point for comparison. The actual grip and foot feel will still be affected by the road surface, usage conditions and personal movements, and cannot be directly converted into a guarantee of running speed.
When looking at photos of soles, you can first look at the material distribution in different areas, and then return to your usual route. Whether the uppers look good, how the soles are configured, and whether they fit well are all issues that need to be considered together but cannot replace each other.
Limited clothing, extending the route into a wearable map The
The collection also includes dark blue short-sleeved tops, white hooded jackets and sports jackets, extending street scenes, roads and event graphics onto clothing. Nanjing East Road, Renai Road and city landmarks turn these pieces into reminders of training, racing or everyday running.

Currently, the public information does not provide the complete Taiwan selling price and the current stock in each store that can be confirmed. You still need to check the current product information of the brand when purchasing. The most interesting thing this time is that the cities that runners are familiar with are transformed from routes into details. Even if you are not participating in the competition, you can understand through the images how Taipei is connected to the running culture.
