Fake sneakers usually mean cheap and flawed—garish color blocking, misaligned logos, stitching so rough you can see the loose threads. This time around, Awake NY and Jordan Brand's AJ6 collab flips that script, turning those "flaws" into a design language, just swapping in real leather for the materials. This marks the third collaboration between the two, timed to coincide with the Air Jordan 6's 35th anniversary, pushing a concept of "street memories remade through high-end craftsmanship."

Angelo Baque poured his early memories of spotting bootleg sneakers in NYC street markets into this shoe. The upper features Saffiano leather in Midnight Navy and Light Blue, paired with Game Royal suede, with Sail as an accent color and a bold pop of Infrared 23. AJ6's signature elements—the lace pocket, dual-strap closure, visible Nike Air unit—all remain intact, but the details are quietly stamped with the Awake NY logo, like a seal placed over the original sneaker.

Beyond the sneaker, there's a full apparel lineup: a tracksuit featuring the collab branding, a more elaborately designed polo shirt, and a handful of everyday streetwear pieces, all meant to extend the collection from footwear to full-body styling.

Online raffle registration for the Awake NY x Air Jordan 6 opens on August 23, 2026 via the EQL platform, with the full collection officially dropping on August 24 through Awake NY's official website and its New York flagship store.
