Same day, same festival, two sets for Cruz Beckham. During the day, he took the stage with his own band The Breakers at Rock N Roll Circus Norwich in Earlham Park. Come nighttime, when The Kooks took over as headliners, the 21-year-old walked back out—this time with a guitar in hand—to join frontman Luke Pritchard for a duet on "Jackie Big Tits," a track off their 2006 album *Inside In/Inside Out*.
This Kooks tour is a full run-through of *Inside In/Inside Out* to mark its 20th anniversary. The same Rock N Roll Circus lineup also had The Vaccines performing *What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?* in full and The Fratellis doing *Costello Music* start to finish—three debut albums, all in one night. Fan-shot footage of the collab has already been making the rounds on Instagram.
This isn't the first time Cruz Beckham and Pritchard have crossed paths. Pritchard mentioned last year that the two had been writing music together, saying "his taste in music is genuinely great," and noted that their bond formed over a shared love of early Bee Gees. When it comes to the "nepo baby" criticism aimed at the Beckham family, Pritchard also shared Cruz's comeback: "Jesus was a nepo baby too"—a line Pritchard found hilarious.
Cruz Beckham dropped his debut EP *Wear & Tear* last Friday (August 21). Before that, he launched his music career last year with the double A-side single "Optics" and "Lick The Toad," followed by "For Your Love" and "Waste Your Pain." He's set to reunite with The Kooks on Thursday, August 27, at the Rock N Roll Circus stop in Sheffield's Don Valley Bowl, sharing a bill with Richard Ashcroft, The Streets, Babyshambles, and The Molotovs. Cruz Beckham and The Breakers will also hit the Reading & Leeds stage next weekend.
As for Rock N Roll Circus Norwich, Madness closes out the festival tonight (August 23), with Ocean Colour Scene, The Wailers, The Selecter, and David Rodigan also on the bill.
