It's not a brand-new story, but it is brand-new footage. Toei Animation has released the "Super Surge" trailer, confirming that "Dragon Ball Super: Beerus" will premiere on October 11, 2026. Based on the original work of the late manga creator Akira Toriyama, the series re-edits the "Battle of Gods" and "Resurrection 'F'" storylines together, adding previously unseen shots and redrawn scenes—what the studio is officially calling an "ENHANCED" version.
The story picks up several years after the battle with Majin Buu, as peace crumbles the moment Beerus, the God of Destruction, awakens. Having heard that a Saiyan defeated Frieza, he sets his sights on Earth—only for Frieza to unexpectedly return, along with new enemies emerging from the shadows. What follows isn't just old scores being settled, but a chain reaction of crises erupting all at once.
