One screenshot, six chances — guess wrong and you move on to the next frame. That's the rule for Framed, and it's also what sets it apart from Wordle the most. Players aren't decoding letter patterns here, but rather how a director chose to frame a shot: some puzzles give it away in the very first still, while others don't click until the fifth or sixth reveal.
August 1's puzzle falls into the latter category. The official clues pointed to a 2016 American action-drama film directed by Ben Affleck, who also starred in it, alongside two other lead actors, Zoe Saldaña and Elle Fanning. The answer turned out to be "Live By Night" — a film where Affleck pulled double duty as director and leading man. That kind of dual role tends to make Framed puzzles trickier by design, since the visual clues can easily be mistaken for one of his other films.
The gameplay is simple: open your browser, go to framed.wtf, and guess the movie title based on that day's screenshot. Guess correctly and you'll be taken straight to the results screen; guess wrong and a new screenshot unlocks, up to six tries total. Worth noting — any version of "Framed" found on app stores or other platforms is not official. The game currently only exists as a web browser experience.
