Kraft Launches Mini Pocket Parm Cheese Shaker as Limited-Run Bag Charm
Kraft Natural Cheese has shrunk its classic cheese shaker into a bag-ready mini version called Pocket Parm, teasing three new flavors launching nationwide in January 2027. Currently available only via a limited US tour truck.
Kraft Natural Cheese has launched a limited-edition mini cheese shaker called Pocket Parm, shrinking the brand's classic Grated Cheese shaker down to a portable size as a teaser campaign ahead of three new flavor launches, while also blurring the line between pantry staple and fashion accessory.
What does Pocket Parm look like?
The bottle keeps the classic shaker shape but is shrunk to pocket size, fitted with a clip so it can attach to a bag strap, belt, or keychain, and comes with a colorful collectible charm. Even once the cheese inside runs out, the charm can continue to be worn as a bag accessory, giving the food packaging a second life as an accessory.
What are the three new flavors, and when will they launch nationwide?
Consumers can get an early taste of three flavors not yet officially released through Pocket Parm: Tomato Basil Parmesan, Garlic Herb Parmesan, and Grated Cheddar. The first two bring a seasoned blend twist to the brand's signature cheese, while the third offers a cheddar option, distinguishing it from the two seasoned Parmesan varieties. Full-size versions of all three flavors are expected to launch nationwide in the US in January 2027.

Where can people get one?
Pocket Parm is not available at retail. Instead, it is being distributed in limited quantities through specially outfitted mobile promotional trucks equipped with large cheese-themed dispensers, while supplies last. The truck has been touring Los Angeles since October 13, heads to Orlando the week of October 26, and the campaign continues through the end of October.
Where does this limited-release marketing approach come from?
This approach, distributing limited quantities through physical trucks until supplies run out, borrows from scarcity marketing tactics long used in sneaker and streetwear releases, now applied to an everyday grocery product in an effort to generate buzz and lines. The release also taps into the ongoing bag-charm trend, with clip-on accessories becoming a popular way for brands to add a playful, shareable element to their products.
Why is the brand doing this?
Dhriti Batra, director at Lactalis Heritage Dairy's Kraft Natural Cheese, was quoted in a press release as saying the brand believes Parmesan shouldn't be confined to pasta plates, but deserves to be brought to more occasions and places, echoing the idea that "since Parmesan can go on almost any food, Parmesan should be able to go almost anywhere." Kraft Natural Cheese traces its history back to 1904, and its grated Parmesan won gold at the 2026 World Championship Cheese Contest earlier this year — background the brand provided on the product itself, separate from the mini-bottle distribution campaign.
