Convincing both city commuters and hikers with a single shoe usually means compromising on style somewhere. Margaret Howell and Mizuno's approach this time is to bury that compromise inside the materials, keeping the surface minimal to the point of near silence in grey.

The pair's V2 GORE-TEX Hiking Shoes returns for Fall 2026, reworked in a "Light Grey" tone. It's the latest installment in the two brands' ongoing collaborative project, pairing Margaret Howell's signature clean-cut vocabulary with Mizuno's technical last. The upper is built from GORE-TEX fabric, which the brands say delivers waterproofing while staying breathable, letting internal moisture and heat escape.

The outsole runs on Mizuno's own "Double Grip" technology, with the brand stating this outsole design is meant to maintain traction on wet or uneven ground and prevent slipping. Moving between city streets and outdoor trails is exactly the use case this shoe is built for.

The new grey colorway carries on the series' understated tone throughout, leaving each brand's specialty tucked into the places you can't see: one handling the cut and color, the other handling the grip and waterproofing underfoot. Pricing and an exact release date have yet to be announced.
