MIZUNO's Running Tech Hits the Harajuku Streets: KICS LAB. Exclusive Colorways Channel Japan's Modified Car Culture

Metallic grey paired with lime green, charcoal paired with silver-blue — these two colorways don't read like typical running shoe logic at first glance. They feel more like taillights blazing past on a late-night street, courtesy of a heavily modified ride. This time, MIZUNO has teamed up with Harajuku sneaker culture stronghold KICS LAB. to transform a performance-driven running shoe into a piece with distinctly street-leaning vocabulary. As for the reference point behind the colorways, the brand doesn't mince words: Japan's car and motorcycle culture.

This is the KICS LAB. exclusive special edition of the "Wave Prophecy LS," dropping August 14 at 9AM. It'll be available only at the KICS LAB. Harajuku store and its official online shop, plus select MIZUNO flagship stores and the brand's own website. Sizes run from 23.0cm to 30.0cm.

The shoe is built on MIZUNO's proprietary Infinity Wave technology — a three-dimensional midsole originally engineered for cushioning and stability that also happens to be the most visually distinctive element of the silhouette. The sculpted wave midsole, combined with this release's metallic tones and vivid accent colors, understandably conjures up images of engine roars and speed rather than the track or field.

The two colorways are Light Grey/Lime Green and Charcoal/Silver/Blue, with upper materials chosen for everyday wearability rather than lightweight, breathable performance fabrics built for competition.
