A stock exchange with more than half a century under its belt is putting money into the parent company of a crypto exchange. Nasdaq Ventures has announced it will invest $100 million in Payward, the parent company of Kraken, with the funds explicitly earmarked for the two companies' existing collaboration on tokenized equity infrastructure.
This isn't the first time Nasdaq and Payward have crossed paths. Both sides are framing this investment as an expansion of an existing partnership rather than the start of a brand-new alliance. As for how the funds will be allocated or whether the collaboration will extend to new product lines, no further details have been made public so far.
