Nike First Sight Shadow SP Drops in Two New Colorways: Flightposite's Shell, Wrapped in Y2K Packaging
Following its all-black debut earlier this year, the Nike First Sight Shadow SP adds "Black" and "Metallic Silver" colorways, with the women's-exclusive silhouette carrying on its laceless build and liquid-metal texture.
Start with the upper. Those raised oval ridges ripple across the last's curves like liquid metal frozen mid-pour — it's the single most eye-catching detail on the Nike First Sight Shadow SP, and the anchor of the entire design.
After the all-black early release earlier this year, Nike is now rounding out this women's-exclusive line with two additional colorways: "Black" and "Metallic Silver." The former runs on a Black/Metallic Dark Grey base, while the latter pairs Metallic Silver with Black Ice — both built from the same sculpted shell mold.
Design-wise, the shoe leans straight into the experimental spirit of '90s-to-2000s basketball footwear, with clear echoes of the Flightposite — that molded, one-piece silhouette with an exaggerated, almost aggressive stance, now reworked into a lifestyle shoe. Structurally, it's a laceless slip-on with a hard molded shell on the outside and a seamless neoprene bootie hidden underneath, hugging the foot like a sock. That's classic Y2K-hybrid thinking: take a sneaker's functional skeleton and wrap it in a more futuristic outer shell.
The outsole doesn't slack off either, featuring a court-inspired tread pattern of its own that echoes the sculptural language of the upper, keeping the shoe's bold visual statement consistent from top to bottom.
