The visual is straightforward: blue, grey, and red brought together on the Kobe 5 Protro silhouette, with the colorway named "LA Dodgers." Dodgers-themed Kobe releases aren't new, but landing this one on the Protro silhouette gives it more weight as an actual performance shoe compared to the more common AF1 treatment.

The Nike Kobe 5 Protro "LA Dodgers" drops August 15, 2026, via SNKRS and select retailers. Style code IO6256-400, in a Rush Blue/Wolf Grey/Comet Red colorway, priced at $190.

On the same day, Nike will also release another Dodgers-themed Kobe shoe — the Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low "LA Dodgers" — priced at $155. With both pairs launching simultaneously but differing in silhouette and price point, it essentially puts the choice in consumers' hands: the retro heft of the Protro, or the street-ready versatility of the AF1.

For now, details are limited to the colorway, style code, release date, and price, with on-foot looks and further design details still pending additional imagery from SNKRS.
