No stitching, no layered panels — this shoe came straight out of a printer in a single piece. The reveal comes from Motoi Hatsuki of Blue Room, who posted the prototype on his personal social media, giving the world its first real look at what the Nike Air Works project has actually produced.
The project is a collaboration between Nike and 3D printing specialist Zellerfeld, with Hatsuki as one of eight global creators invited to participate. His design takes the form of a one-piece slip-on, entirely 3D printed in a single build that forgoes traditional stitching and layered construction, resulting in an upper with a nearly seamless, smooth silhouette.
The design carries clear echoes of the Air Max 1000 and Tailwind V — both the forefoot and heel feature exaggerated Air units, with the heel piece rendered in a neon yellow that pops against the otherwise monochrome shoe body. The sides are wrapped in swirling, paisley-like textures that add a decorative layer to an otherwise minimal structure. Branding has been deliberately downplayed, letting the experimental shapes and textures take center stage instead.
