This time Oasis isn't releasing new designs—they're turning two "stage relics" directly into merchandise. Alongside Liam's jacket is a recreation of the striped sweater Noel Gallagher wore that same night, white with navy and red stripes, dropping September 25. The official description calls it "nearly identical" to the one worn on stage. There's also a simple cotton T-shirt printed with "Knebworth" and the band's logo, launching August 28, plus a navy blue crossbody bag that won't hit shelves until October 7.
Choosing these two pieces to recreate wasn't random. The two 1996 Knebworth shows sold out within 24 hours, drawing 250,000 people across both nights. At the time, 2.6 million people across the UK were trying to get tickets—equivalent to 5% of the entire national population wanting in. That scale is part of why the later concert documentary became the UK's highest-grossing documentary of 2021. In other words, these two pieces of clothing are themselves visual symbols of a moment that felt "almost impossible to happen again." Recreating them is essentially turning the memory of that show into something you can wear.
The timing of this merchandise drop is also intriguing. August 10 marked exactly 30 years since the first show, with fans digging up old footage online for a nostalgia trip. Around the same time, the promoters behind Oasis's "Live '25" tour secured a license to hold concerts at Knebworth, adding credibility to rumors of a "2027 return." There's talk the band is considering coming back to the UK and Europe in 2027, including a 12-night residency in Manchester and a return to Knebworth—though all of this remains speculative for now.
What's more certain: Steven Knight's Oasis documentary *Don't Look Back In Anger* will hit theaters and IMAX on September 11, later streaming on Disney+ and Hulu. Compared to the still-rumored tour, this documentary—like this batch of merchandise—is one of the few things about this 30th anniversary that's already locked in.
