This time, Ondo isn't launching a new stablecoin or Treasury token — instead, the focus has shifted to "portfolios" themselves. The real-world asset tokenization firm has launched three on-chain portfolio tokens, built on model portfolio strategies developed by BlackRock.
Model portfolios have long been a tool used by institutional asset managers to help clients diversify their holdings, and they don't typically show up on-chain in tokenized form. This time, Ondo has packaged BlackRock's strategic framework into three separate on-chain tokens — essentially bringing allocation logic once confined to traditional asset management processes directly into the tokenized asset framework.
For now, that's all the public information available — the names of the three tokens, which chains they'll live on, and details of their underlying holdings have yet to be disclosed.
