PS Plus August 2026 Lineup Revealed: "Dying Light 2" Spans Two Tiers, 13 Titles Rolling Out in Two Waves

The same game appearing in two different subscription tiers within the same month—that's the standout detail in PS Plus's August 2026 lineup. "Dying Light 2: Stay Human" is listed as a free game under Essential while also showing up as a bonus title in the Extra and Premium tiers, with both PS5 and PS4 versions included.

The full lineup will be announced in two waves. The Essential tier lineup will be revealed on July 29, with games available for download starting August 4. Extra and Premium tiers won't be announced until August 12, and players will have to wait until August 18 to start playing.

The Essential Trio: Co-op Walking, Post-Apocalyptic Survival, and Psychological Horror

The three confirmed Essential-tier titles couldn't be more different in tone. "Big Walk" is a PS5-focused multiplayer co-op adventure that emphasizes communication over combat—players use various tools to stay connected with companions in an open world, with the official description even mentioning lighthearted antics like "stealing your friend's telescope and kicking it into the sea," leaning fully into casual social vibes.

"Dying Light 2: Stay Human," meanwhile, jumps 20 years past the events of the original. Players take control of Aiden Caldwell, a courier navigating between surviving settlements, driven by his search for his long-lost sister Mia—a mission tied to a brutal childhood memory involving Dr. Waltz's cruel experiments. The PS4 version launches alongside it.

"Signalis," a PS4 exclusive, takes a different route entirely: players control Elster, a technician-type android searching for her missing partner in a retro-tech surreal world, officially billed as a blend of "cosmic horror and classic psychological survival horror."

Extra and Premium: From "Helldivers II" to Disney Animation

The confirmed lineup for Extra and Premium tiers covers much broader ground. "Helldivers II," "Kingdom Come: Deliverance II," "Vampire Survivors," "Hell Is Us," "Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash," "Two Point Museum," and "Metro Exodus" are all included, and "Dying Light 2: Stay Human" makes another appearance in this tier as well, with both PS5 and PS4 versions available.

Two exclusive bonus titles are reserved for Premium: Capcom's "Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams" and a game adaptation of Disney's animated film "Atlantis: The Lost Empire," both supporting PS5 and PS4.

Titles leaving the service during this period include "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III," "For The King II," and "CrossCode" (all from the Essential tier), along with "Earth Defense Force 6," "Unicorn Overlord," "Harold Halibut," "Clash: Artifacts of Chaos," "Dead Island 2," "Roki," "Onee Chanbara Origin," "Bomber Crew," and "Space Crew" (from the Extra and Premium tiers).

Only the titles listed above have been officially confirmed so far—the full lineup will have to wait for the two upcoming announcements on July 29 and August 12.
