PS Plus September Lineup Still Unrevealed: Confirmed Dates and 3 Rumored Picks From Foreign Media

September is being called one of the most packed months for new game releases in recent memory, so whether PS Plus can pull together a lineup substantial enough to keep subscribers around remains to be seen. For now, only the schedule is locked in: Essential tier's September games will be revealed on August 26, while Extra and Premium tier picks won't drop until September 9. As for availability, Essential titles go live September 1, with Extra and Premium subscribers having to wait until September 15 to play.

There's no official word on the lineup yet, but NME has floated three possible contenders based on market observations—these are purely speculation, not a confirmed list from Sony. First up is Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition, where players control colonial marine Zula Hendricks as she travels to the remote planet Purdan to investigate a distress signal, only to find herself fighting for survival at a Weyland-Yutani black site overrun by Xenomorphs. The story is set between Alien and Aliens, with synthetic companion Davis 01 along for the ride.

Second is Star Trucker, a space trucking sim where players pilot rocket-powered rigs across an interstellar highway, hauling long-distance cargo runs and taking on risky drop-off jobs for fuel-strapped clients to earn cash and unlock content—while chatting up fellow truckers over CB radio for gossip and side gigs along the way. The third pick is The Stone of Madness, from the studio behind the Blasphemous series, set in an 18th-century Jesuit monastery in the Pyrenees, where five prisoners must band together against fear and madness to find a way out, played through real-time tactical stealth.

While the incoming lineup remains a mystery, the three titles confirmed to leave in September are already clear: Essential tier's Big Walk, cross-gen title Dying Light 2: Stay Human (PS5/PS4), and the PS4 version of Signalis. Players looking to add these to their library or finish them up should keep the timeline in mind.

The official September lineup will be revealed on August 26 and September 9, respectively.
