Was Remu Suzumori Really a Nurse? Streetwear It-Girl Reveals Her Real Dream Was Becoming a Surgeon
From being spotted alongside Edison Chen as a streetwear darling to pulling all-nighters on an internal medicine ward as a nurse, one short video from Remu Suzumori just showed fans a whole other side of her beyond the camera.
She's the one getting papped outside ComplexCon Hong Kong and tagging along with Edison Chen to pop-up stores in Bangkok and LA — but Remu Suzumori's actual resume says "nurse."
She revealed this past life herself in a short video titled "What Did Remu Do Before This?" She mentioned that although she didn't stay in the job long, "I really studied like crazy back then," and that she worked on an internal medicine ward. No dramatics, no big reveal — just a matter-of-fact account of a chapter that couldn't be further from her current streetwear lifestyle.
But it wasn't really the job history itself that had fans commenting "beautiful inside and out" — it was the dream she shared: "Honestly, my dream has always been to become a surgeon. I think being able to save lives with your own two hands is truly amazing." Put that line next to the images of her posing outside streetwear pop-ups, showing up at UTO 2026 and Taipei International Fashion & Beauty Show — and that contrast is exactly why this video blew up.
The numbers back up the buzz: the video racked up over 15,000 likes on Instagram, with views closing in on 1.6 million. Her side account "remu_2nd" also rode the wave past 60,000 followers. Compared to her usual visibility in the streetwear scene lately, this video about her old job actually turned out to be one of her most talked-about posts this year.
