Sang Slua’s four-seat Bangkok tea bar: pairing sets at THB470 and THB580
Sang Slua Tea service in Tha Din Daeng combines hot tea, cold drinks and sweets in a four-seat session. Understand its Spices and Woody sets and what to check before reserving.
Sang Slua Tea service in Bangkok’s Tha Din Daeng turns tea into time deliberately spent sitting down. With four guests per session, it pairs hot tea, cold tea and sweets, allowing visitors to watch brewing and speak directly with the makers. It is closer to counter tasting than a quick takeaway stop, so allow for a complete session.
Four seats focus attention on tea and sequence
The founders bring experience in coffee, pastry and bartending into tea. Published interior images show grey, white and wood tones around a long counter with restrained light, concentrating attention on cups and food. A quiet visual language does not necessarily mean a strict tea ceremony; newcomers can begin with questions.

Those questions need not involve specialist vocabulary. Explain whether you usually like floral, roasted, acidic or refreshing flavours, then ask why a drink accompanies a particular sweet. Reinfusions of hot tea allow comparison over time: whether aroma and taste shift is something to discover in the actual tasting.
How do Spices and Woody differ?
Pairing Set A: Spices is listed at THB470. Yu Lan Xiang oolong accompanies chocolate with nutmeg and roasted soybean powder, followed by a cold drink combining Shizuoka matcha and bamboo water. The name points towards aroma, not an assurance that everything is spicy. Follow the transition between floral notes, roasted elements and the cold drink.
Pairing Set B: Woody costs THB580 and includes Bai Rui Xiang oolong, dates and walnuts with yoghurt, and Tomato Lapsang Souchong made with smoked tea, clarified tomato juice and smoked Japanese plum. Tomato is a structural ingredient rather than garnish, allowing tea to meet acidity, salt and smoke. Japanese plum also appears as a closing bite.
Session times and a first visit
Published service is Thursday to Sunday at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, with Monday to Wednesday closed. Confirm reservations and current offerings through Sang Slua’s official account. The sets cost THB470 and THB580, so a general budget for one drink is not the set price. Ask in advance about dairy, nuts, soy and any other allergies or possible adjustments.

Friends with different tea knowledge can compare reactions without seeking a single correct answer. Four seats make conversation and brewing more immediate, while making an unannounced large group unsuitable. Give tea and sweets their own time, then explore the surrounding area. That makes more sense of Sang Slua’s deliberate pace than adding it to a long café checklist.
