Sens Closes Minsheng East Road Location; Daniel Berlin Guest-Chefs for Five Days at Yangmingshan
One-Michelin-star Sens closed its original site in late September and is now on hiatus, with a new location still undecided. Meanwhile, two-star Swedish chef Daniel Berlin guest-chefs for five days at YMS by Onefifteen in Yangmingshan, offering a dinner tasting menu.
Sens, operated by Aesop Catering under Jeffrey Koo's dining business, closed its current location on Minsheng East Road on September 30, 2026, due to the expiration of its lease. The restaurant opened in May 2022 under chef Ding-Yu Wu, serving French cuisine built around seasonal Taiwanese ingredients, offering only a single set menu in the evenings, and had earned one Michelin star in the Michelin Guide Taiwan every year since 2024.
Why Sens closed its Minsheng East Road location
Starting October 1, 2026, Sens has entered a period of suspended operations. The restaurant has stated that its new location and reopening date have not yet been announced, and that updates will be posted on its official platforms. This means it is currently unknown where Sens will relocate to, nor can a specific reopening timeline be confirmed; diners with plans should watch for further official announcements.
How the Daniel Berlin guest-chef dinner is arranged
Coinciding with Sens's hiatus, Daniel Berlin, chef of the two-Michelin-star Swedish restaurant Vyn, is holding a five-day guest-chef event from October 19 to 23, 2026, at YMS by Onefifteen in Yangmingshan. The dinners are held at Restaurant 12 within the property, also featuring seasonal Taiwanese ingredients; this restaurant earned one star upon its debut in the Michelin Guide Taiwan 2026.

The published dinner-with-pairing package starts at NT$25,300. For guests wishing to combine the dinner with an overnight stay, the property offers a one-night package for two at Dwell, which includes welcome bites, two signature cocktails, dinner for two, breakfast the next day, and a gift, priced from NT$54,000 to NT$60,000 depending on room type. In other words, the dinner is already included in the stay package rather than being a separate add-on; there is also a combination package including a 60-minute Spa 6 treatment for two, starting at NT$64,000. The property also offers a standalone villa accommodating up to six guests, providing an option for larger groups.
How Daniel Berlin's background relates to this guest-chef stint
Daniel Berlin currently runs Vyn, located on the southern Swedish coast of Skåne, which opened in October 2023. The property includes a restaurant, inn, and bar, and received two Michelin stars in 2024. Prior to this, his earlier restaurant, Daniel Berlin Krog, also held two stars before closing in September 2020. This five-day guest-chef appearance in Yangmingshan marks a short-term presentation of his cooking using local Taiwanese ingredients, held at Restaurant 12, a venue also known for its attention to ingredients and spatial design.
YMS by Onefifteen as a whole was developed by the Our Lazy Lifestyle Group from a cluster of 1950s U.S. military dormitories in Yangmingshan. In addition to Restaurant 12, the property also includes accommodation spaces such as Dwell. This guest-chef event, with its range of dinner and stay-inclusive packages, reflects how the property designs its overall guest experience around dining as a central element.
