"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" Crosses $2 Billion in 3 Weeks — Second-Fastest in Box Office History

21 days, $2 billion — in box office history, only "Avengers: Endgame" got there faster. Sony and Marvel's "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" officially crossed the $2 billion global box office mark after three weeks in theaters, with $785 million from North America and $1.23 billion from international markets, bringing its worldwide total to $2.022 billion.

This marks Tom Holland's fourth time carrying the Spider-Man role solo, and the film has now joined an exclusive club of just eight movies in cinema history to surpass $2 billion at the box office — sharing the list with landmark titles like "Avatar," "Avengers: Endgame," and "Titanic." At 21 days to hit the mark, it's the second-fastest film ever to reach $2 billion, trailing only "Avengers: Endgame's" 11-day record.

Tracing its box office run, the film has been breaking records nonstop since its late-July debut: a $355 million North American opening weekend, $932 million globally, and it crossed the $1 billion mark by day six. Momentum has stayed strong ever since, and according to Hypebeast, industry watchers are now eyeing whether it could challenge "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" for the North American box office record — or even push toward $3 billion worldwide.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is still playing in theaters worldwide.
