STAUB x Hello Kitty Team Up for Eight Pink-and-White Pieces with Bow-Shaped Knobs

STAUB has partnered with Sanrio's Hello Kitty on a joint collection of 8 items, spanning cast iron cocottes, deep and shallow ceramic plates, two-tone bowls, and ceramic mugs, all built around a milk-pink and oat-white color palette. The collection opened for preorder on September 22, 2026, at which time it was announced that purchasing any cast iron pot would come with a limited-edition heart-shaped ceramic mini baking dish, plus a choice of either a canvas tote bag or an apron as a bonus gift.

Why are the lid handles shaped like bows and Kitty faces?

The most distinctive feature of this collaboration is the lid handle: some versions are shaped as a three-dimensional Hello Kitty head, while others take the form of a bow, replacing STAUB's usual plain or animal-shaped knobs. This design allows the cookware to be identified as part of the collaboration even with the lid closed, rather than relying solely on the box or surface pattern. STAUB has also released the sculpted lid knobs as standalone accessories, available in both the three-dimensional Kitty and bow styles, offering an option separate from the cookware itself; whether these fit existing lids still needs to be checked against the corresponding specifications.

How are the patterns and sizes divided?

The collection's designs were created by Italian designers Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, incorporating Hello Kitty bouquet and garden motifs into the surfaces of the cookware and tableware, divided into two themes: "Classic Kitty" and "Colorful Garden." The cast iron Japanese-style cocotte comes in two sizes — 20cm in the "Kitty Garden" pattern and 24cm in "Classic Kitty" — with each size tied to a different theme, so size and pattern combinations should be checked separately when purchasing. The deep and shallow ceramic plate sets are sold as 22cm two-piece sets, also available in either Classic Kitty or Colorful Garden, making it easy to build a matching set based on pattern preference.

Among the tableware items, the two-tone bowls and ceramic mugs continue the same pink-and-white palette, forming a cohesive tableware language together with the cookware rather than standing as separate, unrelated items.

Brand background and timing of this collaboration

STAUB originates from Alsace, France, and currently belongs to the Zwilling Group. STAUB and Hello Kitty both trace their origins to 1974, meaning each has reached 52 years by 2026; this is simply a shared anniversary year and should not be read as the two brands having collaborated for 52 years. The collaboration links the two brands through sculpted lid knobs and a pink-and-white palette, with visual identity rooted in the objects themselves rather than just the packaging.

When choosing between cookware and tableware, items can be checked separately according to intended use: first select the needed cookware size, then verify whether the corresponding pattern, plate set, and lid knob design are compatible. The preorder details and bonus gifts announced in September reflected the terms at that time and should not be assumed to still apply identically across all retail channels now; actual pricing, stock availability, and remaining gift supply should be confirmed with the retailer before purchase.
