According to public records, the couple quietly offloaded their mansion at 28 Selby Lane in Atherton, California, through an off-market sale — no listing, no public announcement — a stark contrast to the high-profile attention this property has drawn in the past.
The home sits in Atherton's Redwood Oaks neighborhood and is a newly built estate with 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, and 17,761 square feet of living space (about 1,650 square meters). Amenities include a resort-style pool with its own cabana, a wine cellar, indoor-outdoor living spaces, a separate guest house, and a private walnut orchard. The buyer is a real estate investment firm that plans to add more than 3,000 square feet and additional bathrooms before relisting the property.
A History of Neighborhood Disputes and a Fan Break-In
The mansion made headlines back in 2023 amid a "NIMBY" controversy: the Currys had written to local officials opposing a plan to rezone the adjacent lot at 23 Oakwood for high-density housing. That December, a fan seeking an autograph broke into the home and walked straight into the living room, but was quickly stopped by the family's nanny before being arrested by police.
This marks the Currys' second major Atherton property sale in recent years, following a $31.2 million sale in 2021. It's unclear what other properties the couple may still hold in the Bay Area, but they clearly remain local — Curry was spotted in San Francisco Monday night watching a Valkyries game.
On the court, Curry has just one season left on his contract with the Warriors, earning roughly $62.5 million. He'll become eligible for an extension on August 29, at which point he could sign a deal worth up to two additional years. Curry has repeatedly said he hopes to spend his entire career with the Warriors.
