Brain Dead Drags the Samba to the Bowling Alley, Dresses It in Cheetah and Snakeskin

The Samba was originally an indoor soccer shoe, but this time it's been reworked into something that looks like it belongs in a bowling alley. Brain Dead's take on this collaboration with adidas Originals is clear from the jump: keep the Samba's core silhouette and proportions intact, but stack on the oversized paneling and wraparound upper language typical of bowling shoes, then push the whole thing over the top with animal prints.

The pack comes in two colorways, "Cheetah" and "Snakeskin," both built on premium textile uppers paired with the enlarged panel construction lifted straight from bowling shoes—and that's exactly what makes this the least "Samba-like" Samba around. The silhouette is still there, but the surface treatment operates on an entirely different logic.

The "Cheetah" pack lays cheetah spots across a fuzzy upper, with off-white three stripes deliberately set against glossy black leather on the heel, tongue, and along the outsole, creating a contrast between rugged texture and slick shine. "Snakeskin" keeps the same off-white stripe and black leather detailing, but swaps in a textured faux-snakeskin print as the main event—cooler and more restrained than its cheetah counterpart.

Both pairs retain the identity markers you'd expect from a collab like this: co-branded tongue labels for both parties, plus Brain Dead's signature graffiti-tinged, off-kilter graphic language worked into the overall design. It doesn't steal the spotlight, but it's clear this is more than just a simple colorway tie-up.
