BEAMS Finally Arrives in Kaohsiung: New Han Shin Arena Store Brings 50th Anniversary Exclusives and Taiwan's Only DESK Service

How much BEAMS can fit into a 20-ping storefront? The new Han Shin Arena location's answer doesn't stop at what's on the shelves. Through the exclusive BEAMS DESK service—available nowhere else in Taiwan—customers can order additional online items with staff assistance. Combined with the 50th anniversary limited collection and a Kaohsiung-exclusive gift, this new outpost opening September 2 functions less like a fixed store and more like a constantly refreshing portal into BEAMS' curation.

BEAMS Finally Arrives in Kaohsiung: New Han Shin Arena Store Brings 50th Anniversary Exclusives and Taiwan's Only DESK Service

BEAMS is entering Kaohsiung for the first time, with "BEAMS LIMITED STORE Han Shin Arena" officially opening on September 2. The roughly 20-ping space brings together three core lines—〈BEAMS〉, 〈Ray BEAMS〉, and 〈BEAMS BOY〉—alongside 50th anniversary limited items, a NEEDLES x HOKA collaboration, and the BEAMS DESK service available at this single location nationwide.

Southern shoppers wanting to visit a BEAMS physical store used to have to head north. This time, the brand is placing its new outpost on the 3rd floor of Han Shin Arena Shopping Plaza in Kaohsiung. Though the space measures only about 20 ping, the opening lineup spans menswear, womenswear, and the brand's 50th anniversary project.

Three classic lines will move in: menswear line 〈BEAMS〉, built around "BASIC & EXCITING"; 〈Ray BEAMS〉, which freely blends trend-driven and classic elements; and 〈BEAMS BOY〉, known for reinterpreting menswear staples through a women's lens.

One BEAMS DESK Extends a 20-Ping Space Online

What makes the Kaohsiung store most noteworthy isn't just what's on display in person—it's that items not on the shelves may still be available for purchase.

The store will introduce the "BEAMS DESK service," currently offered exclusively at this Han Shin Arena location among all BEAMS stores in Taiwan. Customers who visit in person can have staff help browse, search for, and order items available online, including sub-lines like 〈BEAMS PLUS〉 and 〈BEAMS HEART〉 that may not be physically displayed in store.

This service doesn't abandon the interpersonal exchange that curated stores value. Customers can still ask face-to-face about fit, styling, and product details, then extend their selections from the in-store shelves to online—meaning the physical space no longer has to equal the total product count.

BEAMS DESK is available only to customers visiting the store in person; orders cannot be placed by phone or private message. Some items remain subject to their respective sales terms.

NEEDLES Celebrates BEAMS' 50th Anniversary with Its Signature Butterfly Logo

As BEAMS marks its 50th anniversary, the first half-year after the Han Shin Arena store's opening will center on anniversary-related items and projects.

Leading the lineup is the 〈NEEDLES〉×〈BEAMS〉 50th anniversary custom collection, built on the silhouette of classic baseball jerseys. It includes striped and solid mesh baseball shirts, plus baseball caps in NAVY and BLACK.

The baseball shirt features "BEAMS" spelled out on the left chest in NEEDLES' signature Script Logo font, with the Papillon butterfly logo placed on the right chest. Rather than placing each brand's logo side by side, the two brands let the BEAMS name step directly into NEEDLES' visual language—becoming the clearest identifying detail in this anniversary design.

The striped/solid baseball shirts are priced at NT$7,580; the NAVY/BLACK baseball caps at NT$3,200.

The Sold-Out-in-Japan "Bondi 7 BEAMS" Saves a Batch for Kaohsiung

Another opening highlight is the "Bondi 7 BEAMS," the first-ever collaboration between 〈HOKA〉 and 〈BEAMS〉.

The shoe sold out quickly after launching in Japan, and has already gone on sale in Taipei. This time, the brand has specifically held back a portion of stock for the Han Shin Arena store, giving southern shoppers a chance to get their hands on this collaborative pair as well.

The design draws inspiration from Japanese Zen gardens' dry landscape gravel patterns, the play of light and shadow on stone gardens, and the weathered textures found in aged temple wood, developing into two original camouflage patterns. Both brand names are hidden within the patterns—subtle details only visible up close, tucked into an understated exterior.

HOKA × BEAMS "Bondi 7 BEAMS" comes in WHITE and BROWN, priced at NT$6,280.

Kaohsiung-Exclusive Towel, Drawn from Harbor Truck Tarps

To celebrate its first entry into Kaohsiung, BEAMS has also created an opening towel exclusive to the Han Shin Arena store.

Rather than pulling directly from familiar city symbols like harbors or shipping containers, the design starts from the vividly colored truck tarps common in port areas, then blends in the layered, overlapping look of Taiwanese street advertising. The dense imagery and bold colors capture a version of Kaohsiung closer to its everyday streetscape.

During the opening period, customers spending NT$4,000 or more in a single transaction at the Han Shin Arena store will receive one limited-edition towel, while supplies last.

Three Lines, Three Takes on Fall/Winter Style

For Fall/Winter 2026, menswear line 〈BEAMS〉 presents "EVOLUTION FROM THE ROOTS," drawing from classic pieces across the brand's history and layering in contemporary cuts, technical fabrics, and street elements. The collection also reworks the rugged spirit of 1950s American culture, using bold colors and daring layering to bring past style vocabulary into contemporary Tokyo streetwear.

〈BEAMS BOY〉 draws from the late-1960s "BACK TO NATURE" movement with the theme "A Patchwork of the Urban Outdoors," using classic outdoor colors like red and blue alongside outdoor gear details and mixed-material layering to build an outdoor-inspired style suited for everyday city wear.

〈Ray BEAMS〉's seasonal theme, "Classic Mischief," takes traditional classic and preppy style as its foundation, then introduces small deviations through silhouette, material, and styling. The overall look retains an elegant feel while not fully following classic rules—slipping a bit of unexpected playfulness into familiar garments.

Going forward, the Han Shin Arena store will rotate themes on a seasonal basis, continually reshaping its in-store look through curation, brand collaborations, and project content. For BEAMS, this isn't just about adding a sales point in Kaohsiung—it's about building a brand portal in southern Taiwan that can keep being re-edited over time.
