The most prized car in Devin Booker's collection has a name he gave it himself: Pretty Penny. It's a 1959 Chevrolet Impala Convertible, its signature metallic copper paint job instantly recognizable — and now that nickname and color have been carried over, untouched, onto his second signature shoe.
This isn't the first time Booker and Chevrolet have joined forces. The two sides already teamed up last year, with the Book 1 also releasing a player edition paying tribute to a 1996 Impala. This new Nike Book 2 "Pretty Penny" continues that same thread — Booker was born and raised in Michigan, and his connection to the Detroit automaker isn't some marketing gimmick.

The shoe's upper is dominated by a metallic copper finish, echoing the paint on that Impala convertible, while a black Swoosh breaks up the otherwise uniform colorway. Chevrolet's details are tucked into the finer touches: the crossed-flags logo is stitched onto the heel and printed on the insole, while a chrome-finish badge sits on the tongue, designed to mirror the ornament found on the car's hood. The same badge comes as a metal hangtag included with the shoe, and the box features a multicolor design with Chevy's bowtie logo printed on the lid.
"Pretty Penny" is just the beginning. According to information released by the brand, this is the first of four colorways in the Chevy x Book 2 series, with pink, silver, and dark brown editions still to come — paying tribute to Impalas from 1958, 1962, and 1963, respectively, all part of Booker's own garage collection.
The shoe already had a limited early release via SNKRS Pass in Detroit on August 14, with the global release set for August 26 at a retail price of $155.
