Strength with somewhere to go: a community deadlift becomes support for Hualien
The third charity challenge led by streamer 蘋蘋澎澎 totalled 102,960kg. Organisers announced a top-up to NT$150,000 and support for 3,000 tea-tree seedlings in Guangfu.
In a gym, recorded weight usually measures progress against your previous session. Here, each kilogram also became one dollar of support. On October 28, organisers of streamer 蘋蘋澎澎’s third charity deadlift challenge announced a collective 102,960kg, topped up to NT$150,000 for TUDIGOGO’s Guangfu project and 3,000 Australian tea-tree seedlings. It connects a familiar form of effort with another community’s land.
The event screen marks a cumulative 100-tonne milestone; the final announced total was 102.96 tonnes.
102.96 tonnes, lifted collectively
Held during the WirForce 2026 gaming gathering, the activity linked fitness and streaming communities through a one-dollar-per-kilogram mechanism. The 102,960kg total originally corresponded to NT$102,960 before the streamer increased the contribution to NT$150,000. Separating the figures shows both the participants’ accumulated work and the later top-up.
Participants included fitness YouTuber 健人蓋伊, streamers 6tan and 娣奇, and 許瑞, with 發億金庫 as charity title sponsor. Different personal capacities could contribute to one goal. Technique, training and progress gained a shared direction: completing a lift could connect with someone else’s life.
From plates to seedlings
Afterwards, the streamer visited Guangfu Township in Hualien and joined planting under the guidance of TUDIGOGO and local elders. Organisers announced support for 3,000 seedlings as part of post-disaster farmland restoration. Gloves, soil and young trees give online cheers another physical setting: a number on a screen reaches a crop that needs ongoing care.

TUDIGOGO describes land preparation, Australian tea-tree cultivation and agricultural capacity-building, alongside work opportunities for local residents and older people. Its official website explains leasing idle land and employing local elders for light farming tasks. Connecting an event to longer-term work means looking beyond planting day towards continued care and livelihoods.
Another outlet for something you love
The story does not require everyone concerned about Hualien to become a strength athlete. It offers a more everyday question: could your interests, friends and community find a way to contribute? Some understand streaming, others training or land. Linking different abilities can sustain cooperation more naturally than asking everyone to express concern in the same way.
Follow TUDIGOGO’s official Guangfu reconstruction project and news channels for developments and how resources connect to local work. For anyone still training, it adds a gentle meaning to getting stronger: celebrate what you can lift, and consider whether that strength might also become something shared.
