EVISU × mastermind JAPAN × roarguns: reading the pockets, skulls and black denim

When EVISU, mastermind JAPAN and roarguns bring their archives into one collection, the question is not simply how many logos can fit, but how they coexist on clothing. This collaboration connects seven garments and accessories through black. Early sales ran at Harajuku’s GR8 from October 15–21, 2026, with selected EVISU stores and the official online shop joining from October 16.

Black brings texture into the foreground

Multi-pocket black denim jackets and trousers anchor the collection, priced at ¥177,760 and ¥138,270 respectively. Official trouser information specifies 100% cotton and a relaxed fit, with heavy washing, whiskering and distressed pockets producing tonal variation. Seagull and Skullguns artwork, three-brand embroidery and a metal D-ring place identity at different scales.

In the styling photographs, pockets distribute visual weight across the legs and upper body instead of letting one large logo dominate. Black reduces colour distractions while washing and metal details rebuild depth. Consider the jacket and trousers separately before viewing the full outfit: the pockets already give each silhouette a strong presence.

Seven pieces use decoration in different positions

A hoodie with Swarovski-crystal Skullguns artwork on the back costs ¥138,270. A layered-sleeve long-sleeved T-shirt is ¥43,450, and a short-sleeved T-shirt with raw-edged appliqué is ¥27,610. Accessories include a ¥13,750 cap and a ¥33,550 bag. These are Japanese-market prices, not prices to assume at Taiwan stores.

Crystals, raw edges and layered sleeves work at different viewing distances. Crystals concentrate light at the back; raw edges draw attention to surface boundaries; layered sleeves alter the arm’s outline. These observations concern published designs, not hands-on fabric or durability testing by TIDEZINE. Check individual care instructions, particularly for garments with special finishes rather than treating them like ordinary cotton T-shirts.

The Tokyo and Taipei events have already taken place

The launch included events at the Tokyo Omotesando flagship on October 15 and Taipei’s Dunhua flagship on October 16. Both are in the past as of October 21. Shoppers should check current retailers, sizes and stock rather than read those announcements as invitations still open. GR8’s announced sales period does not guarantee continuous availability.

The collection can be read as a reworking of Japanese streetwear archives: denim supplies structure, black brings visual coherence, and graphics and finishes preserve three distinct identities. The complete look need not dictate how someone wears it. Selecting a proportion or detail to retain can make the connection with an everyday wardrobe clearer.
