First Aid Kit Announce 2027 UK Tour: A Family Journey Rewinding From 2008 to Now

Having just performed their 2014 album "Stay Gold" in full alongside the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra at London's Royal Albert Hall, First Aid Kit's next move strips things right back down — just the sisters and a guitar, plus a brother who might get called out from the crowd.

Swedish sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg have announced they'll return to the UK and Ireland in January 2027 with their "Visions Of The Past" tour — nine shows in total, billed as "stripped-back" and intimate performances. In their statement, they said: "These will be pared-down, intimate shows where we'll go through our entire back catalogue, from our first EP in 2008 all the way to new songs nobody's heard yet."

Their brother Isak Benjamin will open every show on the tour, with the pair describing the run as "truly a family affair." They also directly called on fans in the statement, inviting them to comment with requests for deep cuts or covers they'd like to hear — meaning the setlist spanning nearly two decades may, in some sense, be shaped by the audience itself.

The tour kicks off on January 18 at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre, before heading to Belfast's Waterfront Hall (1/19), Glasgow's O2 Academy (1/20), Newcastle's O2 City Hall (1/22), Manchester's O2 Apollo (1/23), Wolverhampton Civic Hall (1/24), Cardiff's New Theatre (1/25) and Brighton Dome (1/27), before wrapping up at London's Eventim Apollo on January 28.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale this Wednesday (October 7) at the same time, with general sale starting Friday (October 9) at 10am UK time.

This retrospective tour follows closely on from their symphonic performance of "Stay Gold" — at that same concert, they also paid tribute with a cover of Dolly Parton's classic "I Will Always Love You." Looking at the band's most recent work, their fifth studio album "Palomino" was released in 2022, earning a four-star review from NME, which described it as moving "effortlessly between the certainties and uncertainties of love."
