The show floor lights in Cologne haven't even come on yet, but this year's Gamescom opening lineup is already on the table: fresh footage from Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, a story trailer for Gears of War: E-Day, new updates on Silent Hill: Townfall, and the first reveal of The Witcher 3's "Songs of the Past" expansion. The opening broadcast, dubbed Opening Night Live, kicks off at 2 PM ET on August 25, with a 30-minute pre-show before the main event.
Hosting duties once again fall to Geoff Keighley, who also runs The Game Awards and Summer Game Fest. ONL under his watch has never been the kind of show packed wall-to-wall with blockbuster reveals, but there are always a few surprises worth saving for the finale.

Beyond the four titles mentioned above, confirmed content also includes Valor Mortis, a new first-person Soulslike from the Ghostrunner series developers, Pony Island 2 from Inscryption creator Daniel Mullins, plus Path of Exile 2, Monster Hunter Outlanders, Metro 2039, and an as-yet-undetailed new strategy title from Paradox Interactive. FromSoftware's Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods just wrapped up its weekend network test, so whether this broadcast delivers a release date is also worth watching.
You don't need to be in Cologne, Germany to catch the stream—it'll be broadcast on both YouTube and Twitch, with Gamescom's official channels also offering online coverage.
Beyond the opening show, Xbox will host separate livestreams on YouTube on August 26 and 27, simulcast on Twitch, showcasing its game lineup. CD Projekt Red will run several all-day streams starting August 26, featuring game previews, special guest interviews, and behind-the-scenes content. That same day at 1 PM ET, Future Games Show returns with a new episode featuring over 40 games, including 13 world premieres. The following day at 2 PM, it's time for the Awesome Indies showcase.
