GEEKS RULE’s DSMG-exclusive Ghost in the Shell long sleeve launches October 24

GEEKS RULE’s collaboration with the TV anime THE GHOST IN THE SHELL will bring an exclusive long-sleeved T-shirt to Dover Street Market Ginza’s OPEN HOUSE on October 24, 2026. The black shirt comes in M, L, XL and XXL at ¥17,600 including tax. Official information lists sales from 11am on DSMG’s sixth floor. The identifying features extend beyond the character on the front to graphics on the back and the store name on a sleeve.

Motoko Kusanagi, Fuchikoma and the back graphic

Official information identifies the front image as Motoko Kusanagi riding a Fuchikoma, with an icon designed by Hajime Sorayama on the back. The existing idea is rearranged into a long-sleeved format, while the DSMG edition adds Dover Street Market Ginza lettering to the sleeve. Front photographs alone cannot explain how it differs from the earlier T-shirt.

Product details show the blue character and red machine contrasting sharply with black cloth. Lines and lettering establish a different rhythm on the back. The sleeve text extends along the arm, distributing graphics beyond the torso. These are observations from published images; TIDEZINE has not tried the garment or assessed fabric feel and wash durability.

The October 23 signing and October 24 sale are separate

Director Moko-chan’s signing is scheduled for October 23, from 6pm to 7.30pm at Rose Bakery on DSMG’s seventh floor. Advance registration is required and has already closed. Registered attendees can buy the shirt early and choose one item for signing: either the shirt or an illustration sheet provided at the event.

That early purchase arrangement applies to signing participants, not every passer-by on October 23. General sales belong to the following day’s OPEN HOUSE. Check organiser updates for queues, purchase limits and stock; a starting time does not guarantee availability.

Identify the anime version before reading the garment

Ghost in the Shell exists in works from different periods and formats. This collaboration corresponds to the TV anime bearing the stated title and should not simply be labelled as the 1995 film version. Character design, visual authorship and exclusive lettering matter to collectors. Readers drawn mainly to the image can consider graphic density across the front and back alongside sleeve proportions.

Worn beneath a jacket, the front image may be most visible while back and sleeve graphics are partly concealed. Worn alone, all three positions contribute to the full design. The decision can therefore extend beyond liking a character to choosing which images will remain visible in everyday use.
