Goldwin’s 2026 Down Jackets: Cloud Bulky and Crystallite Take Different Approaches to Warmth

Goldwin began rolling out autumn and winter down series starting from October 19, 2026. Among them, Cloud Bulky Down Hoodie and Crystallite Down Parka present two different jacket ideas: the former uses thin fabrics to cover fluffy down, while the latter responds to the need for warmth with windproof, water-repellent fabrics and torso filling configuration. The appearance is kept simple, but when comparing, it is worth looking at the fabric, room for movement and carrying method separately.

Cloud Bulky: light and thin fabric, with articulated sleeves

Cloud Bulky Down Hoodie is priced at 91,300 yen including tax in Japan. It is officially listed as a lightweight fabric with 7 denier warp and 4 denier weft, and a filling composition of 90% down and 10% feathers. The neckline is padded, the sleeves are designed in a three-dimensional manner to conform to body movements, and a storage bag is included so that the clothes can be switched between wearing and carrying.

These specifications indicate the design direction, and do not mean that the durability can be judged based on the denier number alone, or that the applicable minimum temperature can be calculated from the down ratio. Surface fabric, filling amount, wearing level, wind strength and activity intensity will all affect the body feel; if it is to be used for a specific outdoor trip, it should still be compared with the complete equipment requirements.

Crystallite: Concentrate warmth on the torso

Crystallite Down Parka is priced at 69,300 yen including tax in Japan. It is made of PERTEX QUANTUM tear-proof fabric. The announced properties include windproof, water-repellent and tear-resistant, and the silhouette is relatively loose. The down is concentrated in areas such as the back and neck, and there are hand warmer pockets, focusing on keeping warm in different parts of the body.

Water-repellent and complete rain-proof are different concepts. If the use situation includes long-term rainfall, you should not just think of it as a raincoat when you see the words "water-repellent"; when commuting in the city, transferring during a journey, or staying outdoors, you should also arrange a suitable outer layer and inner layer according to the weather.

Same fluffy, but there are still differences in outline and usage.

The visual volume of the down jacket needs to be confirmed together with the actual room for movement. When trying it on, you can put on the mid-layer that you plan to match, and observe the position of your shoulders and back when you raise your hands, bend your elbows, sit down, and press the backpack straps onto the jacket, instead of just looking at the front length in front of the mirror.

If you often put your jacket into a bag, the storage bag and the compressed volume are worth comparing; if you wear it mostly all the way, you can give priority to the neck covering, pockets and hem adjustments. The price difference between the two models should not be directly converted into a ranking of thermal insulation, because the orientations of materials and structures are inherently different.

Sizes 1 to 5 must still be confirmed with actual body data

The sizes announced this time are from 1 to 5. The Japanese official product page provides the length, chest width, shoulder width and sleeve length. You can first compare it with the well-fitting jacket on hand. The size numbers cannot be directly regarded as S, M, L that are common to all brands, nor can they be directly reduced by one size just because the photos appear loose.

The Japanese launch and tax-included pricing are not the same as the Taiwan selling price or arrival date, and the inventory will also change depending on the color and store. You can start withGoldwin official specificationsConfirm the model and size, and then choose according to the proportion for commuting, traveling or staying outdoors. Let this jacket respond to real life, not just a big silhouette in winter style.
