More than the Bighead skull motif layered with the HUF wordmark, what really stands out in this collaboration is a tribute photo. The full HUF x Spitfire collection reinterprets a shot taken by photographer Gabe Morford back in 1995 — the subject being none other than the late Keith Hufnagel, founder of HUF. That choice gives the whole project real weight, turning it from a simple brand mashup into a look back at where it all started.
Both HUF and Spitfire trace their roots to San Francisco's skate scene, and this collab builds on what was previously teased, weaving Spitfire's classic flame motif and Bighead logo into HUF's signature streetwear vocabulary. The official lookbook, shot by photographer Mike Heikkila in Chicago, features HUF skate team riders Nick Matthews, Daiki Hoshino, Dick Rizzo, and Salomon Cardenas.
The lineup spans a full range of pieces from head to toe. Outerwear and tops take center stage, including a reversible Plaid Bomber Jacket, an athletic-leaning End Zone Jersey, a rugged Union Work Shirt, and a reworked take on HUF's signature Cromer Pant. On the accessories and skate hardware side, expect co-branded Spitfire Formula Four wheels, custom hardware, printed caps, socks, and even a playful wall clock.
The HUF x Spitfire collection drops globally on August 6th, 2026 at 9AM PT, available at HUF flagship stores, select skate shops, and online at hufworldwide.com.
