IDEA x Reebok Club C 85: Plain by Day, Only Reveals Itself at Night

But this shoe is called "They Go In The Dark," and the answer only comes out after the sun sets. Hidden within the shoe are glow-in-the-dark details, keeping it low-key to the point of near-invisibility during the day, only revealing its true design language once night falls.

This marks IDEA's first collaboration with Reebok on the Club C 85, and choosing the Club C line itself is interesting. The Club C 85 takes a minimalist retro approach, with a clean silhouette free of excess ornamentation — making it naturally suited to this kind of "hidden mechanism beneath a plain surface" design approach. Rather than stealing the spotlight with clashing colors or prints, IDEA opted for a detail that only triggers with time and light, which in some ways fits even better with the shoe's inherently understated character.

The materials don't reveal exactly where the glow-in-the-dark detail sits or what treatment was used — all that's known is that the finished product maintains an all-white look, saving the transformation for the dark.
