Kith × Salomon Winter 2026 introduces XT-4K Mid, with Vancouver first on October 23

Kith and Salomon’s winter 2026 collaboration uses three silhouettes to explore coverage and layered surfaces. XT-4K Mid debuts, while XT-VYGR 2 and XT-4 OG receive seasonal colours. Coinciding with Kith’s Vancouver flagship opening, the series launches there first on October 23. Global stores, Kith websites and the app are scheduled for October 26 at 11am regional time, rather than one universal release moment in Taiwan time.

XT-4K Mid: a higher collar changes the whole proportion

Developed from the earlier XT-4K, XT-4K Mid retains the XT-4 bottom unit and raises the collar to a mid-cut. Mesh and synthetic overlays form the upper, with Kith lettering outside and a UV graphic inside. Colours are Black, Green Gaze and Olive Night. The higher upper creates a more enveloping appearance and changes where the shoe meets a trouser hem.

The change is clearest from the side: a relatively low trail-shoe outline extends upwards, creating different lines when trousers stack over the collar or expose it. A mid-cut appearance alone does not establish additional waterproofing or mountaineering functions. This introduction centres on structure and styling; check actual specifications rather than inferring performance from height.

XT-VYGR 2 conceals the laces and builds outward layers

Ronnie Fieg’s archive-inspired XT-VYGR 2 returns for winter in Dark Navy, Dusty Orchid and Transparent. TPU, ripstop and fused overlays create a layered surface, with a hexagonal camouflage graphic at the toe and a ripstop shroud over the lacing system. Compared with XT-4K Mid, it focuses attention on instep coverage and layered side materials.

The lace cover reduces exposed lines while adding a distinct surface, with navy, pale purple and transparent components taking different roles. Comparing these details with existing shoes can clarify a preference for visible fastening or a more continuous upper. Photographs support styling comparisons, while feel and sizing need separate confirmation.

XT-4 OG brings purple-red winter colours to a familiar structure

XT-4 OG combines Maroon Banner, Nocturne and Knockout Pink, retaining familiar mesh and synthetic overlays with Kith identification on tongue and insole. Beside changes to collar and shroud on the other two models, it offers a direct comparison of how colour alters a classic shape. Its purple-red palette is among the collection’s most pronounced.

Choose first between mid-cut proportion, a covered lacing system and familiar XT-4 lines, then compare colours. Prices and regional allocations require official checks. October 23 is Vancouver’s advance release, not a worldwide launch. Consult Kith’s official winter Salomon introduction for the schedule, especially what regional time means when purchasing across time zones.
