Late-October Korean dramas: undercover romance, Liar and Lee Jae-wook’s horror series
Love in Disguise has begun, while Liar and 꿀알바 are scheduled for 30 October. Three different approaches to concealed identities, conflicting accounts and frightening work.
Late-October 2026 Korean dramas can be approached through one question: why does someone conceal the truth? Im Si-wan and Seol In-ah’s 나의 유죄인간 places disguise inside an investigation and romance. Yoo Yeon-seok and Seo Hyun-jin’s Liar gives one event conflicting accounts. Lee Jae-wook’s 꿀알바 makes an irresistible wage offer an entrance to horror. As of 21 October, their release stages differ; they are not all already available.

나의 유죄인간: the investigation target becomes a daily companion
The tvN series began in Korea on 19 October. Former special-forces detective Kang Jae-hee disguises herself as a man and becomes the secretary of heir Yoon Yi-jun, a murder suspect. Seol In-ah and Im Si-wan bring evidence-gathering and growing affection into close quarters: proximity makes the disguise harder to maintain.
The attraction extends beyond a familiar romantic setup. A secretary’s routine means repeated encounters, allowing character conflicts to accumulate through gestures, assignments and conversation. Start here for interaction and comedy, while remembering that suspicion does not establish guilt and a poster cannot reveal the case’s answer.
Liar: a reunion becomes psychological confrontation
Liar is scheduled to premiere on MBC on 30 October at 21:50 Korean time. Yoo plays surgeon Min Jun-ho and Seo plays school librarian Kang Ji-seon; they give opposing accounts of the same incident. The central question concerns how viewers decide whom to trust through status, expression and other people’s assessments.
Having worked together in Dr. Romantic, the actors bring an additional expectation: how familiar chemistry becomes distrust. Watch whether dialogue changes meaning as new information emerges, rather than treating calmness or silence as evidence. A pre-premiere introduction describes premise and characters, not a review of the complete series.
꿀알바: why does a generous wage become frightening?
Starring Lee Jae-wook, 꿀알바 is scheduled for Netflix on 30 October. A debt-burdened young man takes unusually well-paid work in a story combining mystery, horror and fantasy. Lee Hee-jun, Go Min-si and Kim Min-ha also appear, with Kim Da-min directing. Its inclusion in Netflix’s 2026 Busan festival lineup and its streaming release are separate events.

The tension comes from recognising danger while still needing to stay, turning economic pressure into a difficult choice. Choose between lighter interactions, scrutiny of testimony and supernatural elements according to preference.
