Kobe 10 Protro Returns After a Decade — With a Completely Reworked Midsole

The Kobe 10 Protro, once known for its lightweight build back in 2015, is getting a complete midsole overhaul this time around. Nike has scrapped the original cushioning setup in favor of Cushlon 3.0 foam paired with a full-length Zoom Strobel unit. According to the brand, the goal is a more consistent, more responsive feel from heel to toe. This isn't just a colorway revival — it's a full recalculation of a decade-old design.

The outsole hasn't been left untouched either. Nike redesigned the traction pattern using athlete movement data, targeting better grip during quick cuts and direction changes. The engineered mesh upper handles the other half of the update — balancing breathability and lockdown in a way the original mesh construction simply couldn't achieve.

Still, the shoe's identity remains intact. The forefoot carbon fiber wing is still there, and so is Kobe's hidden "Endure and Conquer" text tucked inside the shoe — the one detail bridging old and new.

The debut colorway, "Halo," drops in a clean White/White/White scheme under style code IO3415-100. It releases on August 23, 2026 for $190. Nike has also confirmed that several more engineered mesh iterations will roll out before the end of the year, while versions featuring a Flyknit upper and ZoomX cushioning are slated for 2027 — essentially laying out the shoe's entire technical roadmap in one go.

Whether the model will land in Taiwan, and through which retailers, has yet to be announced.
