The MARK II was originally developed by AVIREX as a custom-tailored flight jacket, evolving further from the traditional MA-1 silhouette to provide the structural foundation for this collaboration.

Each of the three jackets echoes a unit from Neon Genesis Evangelion: the black version is inspired by Unit-01, the red version corresponds to Unit-02, and the navy blue echoes Mark.06. The main color, lining, and trim design of each jacket are adjusted according to the visual language of its corresponding unit.
