The Streets Add Winter Dates, "A Grand Don't Come For Free" Tour Returns to Birmingham Roots

A concept rap album about a missing thousand pounds and a breakup — twenty years on, people are still buying tickets to hear it played in full. That's the confidence behind The Streets' latest run of added shows. Led by Mike Skinner, the Birmingham rap outfit The Streets have announced three new winter 2026 dates, bringing their 2004 album "A Grand Don't Come For Free" to the stage in its entirety.

The album marks the career peak of The Streets: a single narrative thread runs through the whole record, centred on a breakup and a lost thousand pounds, spawning hit singles like "Fit But You Know It" and "Blinded By The Lights," with "Dry Your Eyes" standing as the band's only UK Number 1 single to date. The album itself topped the UK charts, sold over a million copies, went four times platinum, and was ranked 16th on NME's best albums of the decade list.

This summer, The Streets already performed the album in full across the UK, at venues including Dreamland in Margate, Alexandra Palace Park in London, and Ludlow Castle. The response from that summer run directly led to these three new November dates.

The new shows kick off at Cliffs Pavilion in Southend, followed by a homecoming gig at Birmingham's O2 Academy — the band's final hometown show of the year — before wrapping up at Depot in Cardiff. The three dates are November 3rd in Southend, November 4th in Birmingham, and November 6th in Cardiff. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 4th at 10am.

That same month, Mike Skinner and the band will also appear at Iceland Airwaves in Reykjavik, joining a lineup that includes Shygirl and Adult DVD across the three-day festival.
