Under Armour × Feng Chen Wang Rebel Daughter: martial arts, dance and the UA Flare

Under Armour and Feng Chen Wang presented Rebel Daughter in Shanghai on October 14, 2026, following their partnership announcement in Paris in June. Titled One of One. Never Alone, the project connects women’s strength, collective relationships and movement through clothing and footwear.

Two ways of reading WU, connecting strength and flow

The concept plays on two Chinese characters pronounced wu: 武, associated with martial strength, and 舞, meaning dance. It connects discipline and force with bodily flow and expression. Fabrics, lines and fastenings make that connection visible in the garments.

A sense of movement doesn’t necessarily need to be wide or exaggerated. When the openings, layers and asymmetrical positions of clothing change, the same set of clothing can have different expressions between standing and walking, allowing the concept to be seen through the structure.

Buckle, stand-up collar and tassels, entering sports materials

The official introduction combines sports performance fabrics with Ruyi knot buttons, Chinese stand collar, tassels and asymmetric tailoring. Traditional clues here are not just used as a printing background, but become part of the surface and opening and closing of clothing, changing the position where the eyes stay.

If you usually wear simple sportswear, you can first look at how to add one detail to your existing wardrobe, such as the collar or buttons. If you add multiple elements at the same time, you can keep other parts of the dress more consistent in color, preventing each place from competing for the spotlight.

Black, Kona brown and red give the silhouette different weights

Black makes lines concentrated, Kona brown provides a calmer material expression, and red increases visual intensity. After changing the color of the same structure, the fastening, segmentation and tassels may have different light and dark relationships, so the color will also affect how people read the cut.

When looking at a series of photos, you can compare looks of the same color first and then see how contrasting colors appear. This makes it easier to tell whether the changes in the design come from structure or color, and whether you want the entire outline or just a part.

UA Flare, from the upper line to the outsole

The collaborative shoe UA Flare echoes the series in black and white and gradient directions, and is equipped with a cushioning midsole and textured rubber outsole. Shoes extend the collaboration from clothing to feet, making the whole body look recognizable not just by the top.

The outsole texture and midsole configuration are design information that can be verified. The actual fit and feel still need to be tried on. Just because sports brands are involved, fashion collaborations cannot be regarded as professional shoes suitable for all sports, weather and road surfaces.

It will be launched in batches. Don’t regard the launch date as the full launch of sales.

The footwear received a limited launch at LABELHOOD on Julu Road, Shanghai, on October 15, with JAIDE in Atlanta scheduled for early November. Apparel is planned for selected markets later in 2026. The dates for footwear and clothing differ, as do regional arrangements.
