CAMPER Introduces ALARO: Floral TWINS, Boat Shoes and Boots with Added Volume
Named after a Mallorcan village, ALARO includes ¥49,500 floral TWINS, ¥42,900 boat shoes and ¥47,300 boots. Japanese release schedules and stockists differ.
Classic footwear need not keep a slender profile. For fall/winter 2026, CAMPER introduces ALARO, named after the mountain village of Alaró in Mallorca. A substantial new last, hand-stitched moccasin-style toes and thick soles work together. Japan's three versions are floral TWINS, boat shoes and boots, distributed principally through Shibuya PARCO and the official online store. Their arrival dates and retail locations are not identical.

How the toe and sole give classics more volume
Brown connects the product images. Raised stitching outlines the toe, while the outsole lifts the whole form. The uppers remain recognizable as moccasin or boat-shoe vocabulary, but acquire a heavier presence in profile. Laces, openings and tread retain separate lines, avoiding a single rounded mass that swallows every familiar detail.
The outsole reveals separate zones and tread.
ALARO uses the brand's BRIDGE XTRAGRIP outsole technology. That name provides a starting point for checking specifications; actual traction depends on surfaces and conditions. Compare the sole's shape, the last's width and where trouser hems fall together. A thick sole changes lower-body proportions, beyond simply adding height to an otherwise identical shoe.
What flowers bring to the brown TWINS
Priced at ¥49,500, TWINS adds seasonal floral embroidery to the brown upper. Flowers spread along the sides and toe, contrasting with the more robust eyelets and outsole. From a distance, the brown volume registers first; closer up, the flowers become visible. The pattern therefore leaves the underlying structure readable.
The ¥42,900 boat shoe combines a low opening, wrapping laces and a more exposed instep, making the visible area of socks and hems useful points of comparison. The ¥47,300 boot extends the line above the ankle. For wearers of wide trousers, a low shoe and taller shaft stop the hem at different points, giving similar colors different visual weights.
Flower placement creates different views across the pair. The boat shoe retains a low opening and wrapping laces.
Which version had launched, and which was still due?
Information published on October 19 indicated that TWINS was already on sale. Boat shoes and boots were scheduled to arrive progressively from late October onward. Boots are also exclusive to the official online store, so Shibuya PARCO's physical offering should not be assumed to include all three. Even in late October, individual product pages remain necessary for checking sizes and stock.
Start by deciding between floral detail, a low boat-shoe structure and a higher ankle line, then compare price and distribution. ALARO's clearest proposition is to redistribute the volume of familiar brown classics through a new last and outsole. Watching how toes, trouser hems and socks interact offers a more useful route into styling than deciding whether the shoes belong to a casual or formal category.
