CASIO shrinks the A168 into a ring watch: CRW-002 in two colors, Japan lottery from November 2
The metal CRW-002 ring watch takes its shape from the A168. Japanese tax-inclusive prices are ¥19,800 in silver and ¥22,000 in gold, with three buttons, sizing spacers and an official Japanese sales lottery.
Moving a familiar digital watch from wrist to finger, the new CASIO RING WATCH CRW-002 offers an immediate surprise through its A168 shape: it resembles a miniature model, yet really displays time and provides working functions. Official Japanese tax-inclusive prices are ¥19,800 for the silver CRW-002D-1AJR and ¥22,000 for the gold CRW-002G-9AJR, both planned as November 2026 releases. For fans of retro digital watches seeking a playful everyday accessory, the change is one of placement and proportion.
The familiar A168, seen at finger scale
The A168 is recognizable through its square outline, LCD and surrounding function labels. The CRW-002 brings those elements to ring size, incorporating the metal bracelet’s segmented appearance into the ring itself. The official silver product image places front and back views together, showing how the bracelet-like pattern continues into the circular structure. It translates the watch’s appearance into a complete small object, rather than simply putting a screen on an ordinary ring. That combination of familiar and unfamiliar proportions is part of its visual appeal.
CASIO uses metal injection molding to produce the complex shapes in stainless steel, giving different areas contrasting finishes. Both official specifications list dimensions of 25.2 × 18.2 × 6.2 mm, a weight of 15 g and mineral glass. According to the brand, a small battery and high-density layout help reduce the internal module to about one-tenth the size of an ordinary wristwatch module. That comparison describes the module; the actual millimeter measurements remain the guide to the whole ring.
Three buttons keep the digital-watch interaction
The controls go beyond decoration. Three buttons work with a six-digit LCD showing hours, minutes and seconds, alongside dual time, an automatic calendar, 12/24-hour switching and a 1/100-second stopwatch measuring up to 60 minutes. The light can flash gently at a set time or on each hour, while a white LED backlight retains the interaction of a small digital watch. CASIO notes that illumination may not be visible in bright surroundings—a detail best appreciated up close.
Sizing is worth checking before wearing. The ring is Japanese size 22, with an internal diameter of about 20 mm and circumference of about 62.8 mm. Included spacers accommodate Japanese sizes 19 and 16, corresponding to internal diameters of about 19 and 18 mm. The official illustration uses the gold version to show the transparent spacers and how they improve fit inside the ring. This is a fixed-size ring with inserts, so comparing it with your finger measurements helps make it comfortable for everyday use.

Display, storage and the Japanese lottery
The packaging includes a dedicated box and pouch, and its silicone base can also serve as a display stand, providing somewhere to keep the watch when removed. Both versions have replaceable batteries with an approximate two-year life and water resistance for everyday use. These features complement the metal form: the watch retains time reading and button operation while becoming a small styling focal point. Silver and gold offer different visual weights and can echo the colors of rings or bracelets already worn.

CASIO’s official Japanese online lottery is scheduled from 10 a.m. on November 2 to noon on November 6, with results available from the evening of November 12; all times are Japan time. Selection is not first come, first served. It is limited to residents of Japan, requires a CASIO ID and permits one application per person per model. Overseas shipping, hotel addresses and forwarding services are excluded. Taiwan pricing and retailers await local official information. Interested readers can first consider size and color, then follow the official arrangements for their own location.
