New Balance 10K turned the finish into a festival, with WeiBird and creators at Dajia
The November 1 New Balance 10K in Taipei brought nearly 7,000 runners together, according to the brand, with creator challenges, pacers and WeiBird’s performance extending the morning beyond the race.
After 10 kilometres, there was still a song waiting at the finish. The 2026 New Balance 10K city race took place at Taipei’s Dajia Riverside Park on November 1, with the brand reporting nearly 7,000 participants. Creator-led running, challenges and WeiBird’s post-race performance turned the morning into a festival. In its second edition, the event continued the Run Your Way spirit, making room on the same course for speed, an individual pace and completing a challenge with friends.

Run with creators, at your own rhythm
Peeta, Ian of The DoDo Men and HowHow hosted special challenges: runners crossing the finish before them could receive a small gift. It added interaction to the familiar 10K distance, bringing creators usually seen on screens onto the course. Passing a host could become a personal target, while others could stick with their original race plan. Different ways of taking part gave the same distance its playful character.
The NB Pacer groups included creators Black Dragon, Goldfish Brain, Li Wei, Bei Ji and Emily from E Ren Fitness. Baxuan and Pin Zi also joined the 10K, bringing leading, accompanying and individual goals into different roles. Official information arranged two starting waves with a two-hour finishing limit. By the afternoon, these were part of the day’s completed programme, leaving a shared memory of progressing from start to finish.
WeiBird sang at the finish, with a first 10K still ahead
WeiBird performed after the race, keeping the finish-area crowd together through music. He said he enjoys outdoor activities and finds creative ideas come more easily when his body gets moving. Taking part in this event also sparked an interest in attempting his first 10K, building gradually from shorter distances. The singer onstage thus had a new goal still ahead: celebrating with runners through songs today, and hoping to explore the distance on his own feet in future.

He appeared in New Balance 1080v15 shoes and apparel, sharing his personal impressions of everyday comfort and the purple-red colourway. These were his own experiences. A separate trial area offered FuelCell Rebel v5 and Ellipse v1 shoes. Trying shoes and completing a designated social check-in task formed part of the limited N Bao mascot activity, while wish cards on a prayer wall connected the venue with the idea of a Nagoya running trip, extending participation beyond the course.
Souvenirs and shoe trials added other memories
Finisher mementoes included reusable bags, sports towels, medals and partner gifts. Through the Pandora collaboration, runners in the Platinum Special and Pandora BE LOVE Couples groups could receive a Talisman medallion charm; finishers in other groups had a chance to win one. Finishing in a full NB outfit also related to conditional offers involving limited WOKY cups and a Nagoya running-trip draw, subject to race rules and the day’s tasks. These were features of the event already held.
For results-based awards, the top five overall men and women could receive brand shopping credit and trophies, with champions awarded NT$10,000 in brand credit. For many others, a memory might be maintaining a pace, spotting a familiar creator or hearing WeiBird after finishing. Bringing competition, lifestyle and music together made the 10K more than a completed distance: it became a city morning to share.
