Circle puts USDC on the front of Chelsea’s jersey, and the stablecoin grabs the most expensive advertising space in football

The front of the jersey has always been the most expensive piece of cloth in the football world. This time it’s not an airline or a gaming brand, but the name of a stable currency – USDC.

Circle has reached a sponsorship agreement with Chelsea on the front of their jerseys. USDC by Circle will appear prominently on the jerseys of the team’s men’s, women’s and youth academy teams, effective this season. This means that whether it is in the Premier League, Women's Super League, or youth training system, Chelsea players will have this string of letters printed on their chests.

Extending the scope of sponsorship to men's and women's teams and college teams at once means that USDC's exposure is not limited to a single top-level event, but runs through the entire club system - from the first team to the rookies who may qualify in the future, all wearing the same brand logo during games.

The current public information does not mention the contract amount and length, and relevant details are yet to be further announced by both parties or the club.
